Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
    Add egg and molasses, mixing well.
    Combine flour, soda, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves.
    Gradually add to creamed mixture, blending well.
    Chill dough at least 1 hour.
    Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
