Superb Sausage Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pork sausage
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 c. pecan halves
    12 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained
    2 (4 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. dried sage, crushed
    1 c. dried mixed fruit
    3 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
    5 c. crumbled cornbread
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    2 eggs
Preparation
    In large skillet, crumble sausage.
    Cook sausage, onion and celery until sausage is no longer pink.
    Stir in pecans; cook until sausage is lightly brown.
    Pour mixture into large roasting pan to mix.
    Add corn, mushrooms, butter, sage and fruit.
    Stir well until blended.
    Stir in eggs, then mix in the cornbread.
    Add broth and stir to mix.
    Beat the eggs and add to mixture.
    Let set for 15 to 20 minutes to absorb the liquid.
    If moister dressing is desired, add more broth.
    Bake in same roasting pan or transfer to two 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pans.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until crusty brown on top.
