Cherry Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    2/3 c. lemon extract
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. drained cherries
    2 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    This will look very messed up.
    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Very good with ice cream or whipped cream.
    Refrigerate leftovers.
