Delicious Hot Caramel Dip - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. water
2 c. (1 box) brown sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand or Carnation)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Stir first 4 ingredients together in a saucepan (double boiler works best) and bring to a boil.
Then add sweetened condensed milk.
Continue to stir and cook, being careful not to allow mixture to stick to bottom of pan or scorch.
Use candy thermometer and bring to 230\u00b0 (just before soft ball stage). Remove from heat and add vanilla.
If very thick, mixture can be thinned with a little milk or water.
Serve warm.
Makes about 3 cups of dip or sauce.
Very good with sliced apples or over vanilla ice cream.
