Sausage Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. seeded raisins
    2 large c. water
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch of salt
    1 lb. bulk sausage
    1 c. flour
    1 c. nuts
    2 1/2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350.
    Cook raisins in water for 5 minutes. Strain; add soda into the hot juice.
    When cold, add sugar, cinnamon, salt and sausage.
    Beat well; add raisins, dredged in 1 cup flour and nuts.
    Sift 2 1/2 cups flour with baking powder. Must be real stiff, no liquid at all.
    Must not drop from spoon.
