Sweet And Sour Beef - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 oz. beef, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 c. cider vinegar
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks (juice packed)
2 to 3 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
1 green pepper, cut into bite-sized chunks
1 tomato (optional), cut into bite-sized chunks
Preparation

Brown meat in skillet.
Remove and set aside.
Combine brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet.
Add vinegar, soy sauce and juice from canned pineapple.
Cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Add pineapple chunks and meat.
Simmer until 5 minutes before serving time.
If necessary, add water, pineapple juice or apple juice to thin the sauce.
Five minutes before serving time, stir in carrots and green pepper.
