The Ultimate Sugar Cookie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter Crisco
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Combine sugar and Crisco in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended.
    Add eggs, syrup and vanilla.
    Beat well. Combine 3 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Add gradually to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix until well blended.
    Divide dough into quarters.
    If dough is too sticky, refrigerate 1 hour.
    Keep covered until ready to roll. Place a quarter roll of dough on floured paper.
    Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
    Cut out with floured cutter.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
    Sprinkle with sugar or decors if desired. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 5 to 9 minutes.
    Makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies.
