Homemade Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 oz.) jar freeze dried coffee
    2 c. boiling water
    4 c. sugar
    1 fifth vodka
    1 vanilla bean (optional) or substitute 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in 1/2 gallon container.
    Pour into 2 sterilized wine bottles.
    Cover, cork and store in a cool dry place for 30 days.
    Serve as you like.
    Makes approximately 1/2 gallon of Kahlua (coffee brandy).
