Marinated Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. olive oil
    1/3 c. wine vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. basil
    6 peppercorns
    1 bay leaf
    1 clove garlic, quartered
    1 1/2 lb. small mushrooms, cut in half
Preparation
    Day before serving:
    In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, heat to boiling all ingredients except mushrooms; cover and simmer over low heat 10 minutes.
    Stir in mushrooms until coated.
    Cook over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until fork tender.
    Cover and refrigerate.
