Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. sweet milk
    1 c. creamy Crustene (shortening)
    1 c. sugar
    1 cake Fleischmann's yeast
    flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cook milk, shortening and sugar until boiling, then set aside. When
    lukewarm,
    dissolve
    yeast in it and sift enough flour in to make it the consistency of cake batter.
    Let stand in warm place
    for
    2
    hours,
    then sift salt, soda and baking powder. Work in
    enough
    flour to make stiff dough, then roll out and cut as
    many
    rolls
    as you wish.
    Set in a warm place and let rise for 2 hours before baking.
    Put the rest of dough in the icebox. Will keep a week or more.
