Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. canned milk
    2 1/4 c. powdered sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients together until it strikes a boil, then boil 2 minutes.
    Have powdered sugar sifted and remove from heat; stir in.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat until it gets thick enough to spread.
    Makes enough for 3 layers of cake.
