Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
2 green onions, chopped
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 c. butter
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. water
2 tsp. snipped parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 bay leaves
14 oz. peeled fresh shrimp
3 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation

Melt butter in skillet.
Add onions, celery, green pepper and garlic.
Cook until onions are tender.
Remove from heat.
Add tomato sauce, water and seasoning and stir.
Return to heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
May add additional water if needed.
Stir in shrimp and heat to boiling.
Cover and reduce heat to medium and cook 10 to 20 minutes or until shrimp are pink and tender.
Serve over hot cooked rice.
