Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. table syrup
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix flour, shortening and brown sugar.
    Save 1 cup of crumbs for top.
    Add soda to boiling water.
    Add table syrup.
    Mix with flour, shortening and sugar mixture.
    Pour in greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
