Okra Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. baby okra
vinegar
several pods hot pepper
dill weed
Preparation

Wash okra.
Leave small amount of stem on okra.
Pack into sterilized pint jars, standing on end to get as many okra pods in jars as possible.
For hot pickles, add 1 pod of hot pepper to each jar.
For dill pickles, add sprig of dill weed to each jar. Boil vinegar; add 1/4 cup to each jar.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to each jar.
Finish filling jar with boiling water.
Seal jars while hot.
Ready to eat in about 2 weeks.
