Busy Day Fruit Cobbler(A Juicy Cobbler, Southern Style) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. fruit (canned or frozen)
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. White Lily self-rising flour
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Place
fruit
in
greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
(If fruit is very juicy, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with each cup juice.) Cream shortening
and
sugar.
Mix in egg.
Add flour and milk alternately;
mix until smooth after each addition.
Pour over fruit in pan.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for about 30 minutes.
Cut in squares.
Serve warm with cream or whipped cream, if desired.
