Sawmill Gravy - cooking recipe

1/2 lb. ground Pork Sausage
1/4 c. Butter or Margarine
1/3 c. all purpose Flour
3 1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1/8 tsp. dried Italian Seasoning
Preparation

Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until it crumbles, and is no longer pink.
Remove sausage, and drain on paper towels, reserving 1 Tbsp. drippings in skillet. Melt butter with drippings in skillet over low heat.
Whisk in flour until smooth.
Cook, whisking constantly, for 1 min. Gradually whisk in milk and cook, whisking constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in sausage, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
