Beef And Barley Mulligan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can diced tomato with liquid
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed beef broth (undiluted)
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. pearl barley (medium picked over)
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook ground beef with onion and ground pepper until meat is browned; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for about an hour or until barley is tender, stirring occasionally. Serve with salad and fresh baked bread.
