Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. plain flour
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Mix together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together.
Alternately add flour and bananas to mixture. Mix well.
Fold in nuts, if desired.
Bake in a well-greased and floured loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
