Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage - Mom'S Way - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 lb. ground pork
    2 Tbsp. bacon fat
    1 lb. barley
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. paprika
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. fresh garlic, minced
    2 lb. sauerkraut
    3 qt. tomatoes
    1/2 c. flour
    1 qt. water
    1 large cabbage
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
Preparation
    Core cabbage and place in enough boiling water to cover.
    With a fork in one hand and a knife in the other, keep cutting off the leaves as they wilt.
    Drain and trim center vein of each leaf. Set aside.
