8 Dozen Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 cups warm flour
    2/3 cup lukewarm water
    1 Tbsp sugar
    2 pkg. yeast
    2 quarts warm water
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup soft lard
    1 1/2 Tbsp salt
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast and 1 Tbsp. sugar in 2/3 cup water.
    In 2 quarts water, dissolve sugar, lard and salt.
    Stir in egg, yeast mixture and 5 cups flour.
    Mix well and add enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Knead lightly and place in a greased pan, and let rise until double.
    Punch down and let rise again.
    Shape and place on greased jellyroll pan.
    Let rise until double and bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    OR... you can use this recipe to make cinnamon rolls.
    You roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with butter or margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
    If desired you can add walnuts or pecans.
    Roll the dough up like a jellyroll and cut into 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces.
    Place into a pan and let rise until double and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes.
    OR... you can make donuts by cutting circles and a hole in the middle, letting them rise till double and deep fat frying them.
    Immediately dip in sugar or glaze after they have cooled a short time.
    OR...you can take a piece about the size of a lemon and stretch it out and deep fat fry it and put butter and jelly on it.
    They are better if you eat them right away while they are still hot.
