Peanut Rounders - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white corn syrup
1 c. milk or cream
3 1/2 c. raw peanuts
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
few drops red food coloring
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup, milk and peanuts in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches soft ball stage (236\u00b0).
Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla and food coloring. Beat until mixture is creamy. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
Let cool.
Makes 25 to 30 patties.
