Cherry-Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. mashed bananas (3 medium)
1 c. dried cherries (see note)
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, with electric mixer, combine butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; add flour mixture and bananas alternately to butter mixture, mixing just until ingredients are moistened.
Do not overmix.
Fold in dried cherries.
Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
Best served the day after baking.
