Southern Yam Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb.) cans yams, drained or 4 medium yams, cooked, peeled and halved
    1 medium apple, pared, cored and sliced
    1/2 c. quartered dates
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. Kitchen-Klatter lemon flavoring
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Arrange yams, apple and dates in greased, shallow, 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with lemon juice, flavoring, nutmeg, walnuts and brown sugar.
    Dot with butter or margarine.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 (moderate) oven 20 to 25 minutes.
