Mexican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice (raw)
    1 clove garlic, minced or chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil or bacon drippings
    2 tomatoes, chopped, or 1 can chopped tomatoes (use juice as liquid)
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Saute garlic, onion and bell pepper in oil until tender-crisp. Add rice and brown slightly.
    Add tomatoes, then liquid.
    Add 1 teaspoon chili powder and salt and pepper to taste.
    Bring to boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until done.
