Oatmeal Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    1 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. or about 24 caramels
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. small chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix first six ingredients together and pat one-half of mixture into 9 x 13 pan.
    Melt caramels with evaporated milk. Pour over crust.
    Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over caramel mixture and top with remaining crust mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
