Hot Ham And Cauliflower - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cut up cauliflower or broccoli
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. milk
    4 oz. sharp American cheese, cubed
    1/2 c. sour cream
    2 c. cubed fully cooked ham
    1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cook cauliflower and/or broccoli in a small amount of boiling salted water.
    Cover until crisp-tender. Drain well. Remove from pan.
    Melt 1/4 cup margarine in the same pan.
    Stir in flour. Add milk all at once.
    Cook and stir until mixture is very thick and begins to bubble.
    Add cheese and sour cream.
    Cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Stir in ham, mushrooms and cooked vegetables.
    Turn in a 2-quart casserole pan. Combine bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon melted margarine or butter.
    Sprinkle atop casserole.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
