Vegetable Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 c. water
    4 packets instant beef broth and seasoning mix
    1 small bay leaf
    2 Tbsp. dehydrated onion flakes
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 1/2 c. chopped cauliflower
    2 c. canned tomatoes, mashed
    1 c. chopped carrots
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a bowl, combine meat, nutmeg, pepper and salt.
    Shape meat into large patties and place on a rack.
    Broil 4 minutes on each side.
    Break patties into small pieces and place in a large saucepan.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer over low heat about 1 hour.
    Divide evenly.
    Yield: 4 servings.
