Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 to 4 c. unsifted self-rising flour
    1 cake yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 c. hot water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. Crisco shortening
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
    Pour hot water over sugar and shortening; cool to lukewarm.
    Add 1/2 cup flour; mix thoroughly. Stir in softened yeast, half of remaining flour and egg; beat thoroughly.
    Add enough flour to form a soft dough.
    Turn out on lightly floured board; let rest 5 or 10 minutes.
    Knead until smooth and elastic.
    Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
    Cover; let rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down; grease top.
    Cover with damp towel and refrigerate.
    When ready to bake, shape into rolls and place in a well-greased pan.
    Let rise until double.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
