Red Beet Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can beets
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1/3 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. water
    8 large eggs, hard-cooked
Preparation
    Drain beets, reserving juice.
    Mix sugar, salt, vinegar, water and beet juice in a small saucepan.
    Heat until sugar dissolves.
    Peel eggs.
    Put beets and eggs in a bowl.
    Cover with the liquid and refrigerate for several days.
