Shirley Knox Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    2 c. whipped cream
    6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    22 caramels
    2 Tbsp. butter
    chocolate pie crust
Preparation
    In a small pan, sprinkle gelatin over water.
    Let stand 1 minute.
    Stir
    over low heat until dissolved.
    Stir in 1 cup cream. Bring
    to a boil.
    Pour into blender. Add chocolate and process until
    chocolate
    melts.
    Add
    1/2 cup cream, eggs and vanilla.
    Continue\tuntil well blended. Pour into bowl.
    Chill until thick, about 30 minutes.
