Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 small green pepper, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    2 tsp. oregano
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 can chilies and tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    3 whole cloves
    1 1/2 c. water
    canned or cooked dry pinto beans
Preparation
    Brown beef in a Dutch oven or large pot.
    Add all ingredients except beans and simmer 1 hour.
    Add beans and cook to heat through.
    Cooked elbow macaroni can be added for a hearty one-dish meal.
