Never Fail Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy 2-quart saucepan; stir in milk and sugar. Bring to full, rolling boil, stirring constantly.
    Continue boiling over medium heat until mixture reaches 234\u00b0 or soft ball stage, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
    Remove from heat and stir in chocolate pieces until melted.
    Add Marshmallow Creme and nuts, stirring until well blended.
    Pour into well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Cool at room temperature.
    Cut into squares.
    (If fudge is too soft, chill.)
    Makes about 3 pounds.
