Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 beaten egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Add egg, milk and shortening.
Beat until smooth.
Bake in a greased 8-inch square pan at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
