Cold Homemade Soap - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 can lye
3 pt. cold water
5 1/2 lb. fat
1/2 c. powdered Borax
1/2 c. turpentine
bluing

Preparation

Have lye water cold and fat lukewarm before mixing.
Stir until it starts to thicken, then add turpentine and Borax.
Add enough bluing to tint.
