Southern Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. bacon
    1 1/2 c. bacon fat
    3 c. onions, chopped
    7 1/2 lb. green beans
    1/2 c. wine vinegar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. pepper
    2 c. salted peanuts
Preparation
    Slice bacon into 1/2-inch pieces and saute until crisp. Drain, reserving 1 1/2 cups fat.
    Saute onions in fat until golden.
    Cook green beans in kettle with onions, vinegar and pepper until beans are desired degree of doneness.
    Add bacon bits and chopped peanuts.
    Makes 50 (2 1/2 ounce) servings.
