Caramel Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans evaporated milk
    3 c. sugar
    8 eggs
    2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    In the top part of a double boiler, pour 1 cup sugar. Add enough water so as to get all of the sugar wet. Place on high heat until medium gold. Then take it off the heat and move the pan around until the sides, as well as the bottom, are covered with the caramel and caramel has stopped moving.
