*Kinklings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. water
    1 yeast cake
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3 to 4 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Scald milk and shortening.
    Beat eggs and add sugar and salt.
    Add all ingredients to yeast mixture.
    Add flour until all has been used.
    Let rise until double in bulk.
    Roll on lightly floured surface and cut in 1 1/2 to 2-inch strips, diamond shapes or triangles.
    Let rise again and fry in heated oil.
