Reuben Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) jar sauerkraut, drained
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 1/4 c. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    4 (2.5 oz.) pkg. thinly sliced corned beef, cut into thin strips
    2 1/2 c. (10 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
    8 slices rye bread
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Press sauerkraut between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
    Combine kraut, onion, sour cream and garlic powder; stir well.
    Spoon mixture into lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle corned beef evenly over kraut mixture; top with cheese.
