Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
12 egg whites
1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/4 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Sift flour with 3/4 cup sugar and salt 4 times.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
Add remaining sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time.
Beat well after each addition. Sift 1/4 cup flour mixture by fourths.
Turn into 10-inch tube pan. Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
Invert pan on funnel.
Cool completely.
Remove from pan.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
