Creamy Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (1 3/4 oz.) cans chicken broth
    3 bunches green onions (including tops)
    4 c. diced potatoes
    1 1/2 bunches broccoli
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pt. half and half milk
    1 c. grated sharp cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Chop onions.
    Peel and dice potatoes.
    Cook onions and potatoes in chicken broth until tender.
    Puree broth, potatoes and onions in blender or food processor until smooth.
