Corn Meal Mush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. self-rising corn meal (may not use all)
    2 Tbsp. oleo or bacon drippings
Preparation
    Bring water to boil in iron frying pan.
    Add meal to water slowly, stirring constantly.
    When thickened, add oleo or bacon drippings.
    Cook only to mix seasoning in.
    Serve in soup bowl with buttermilk.
    Don't stir in.
    When milk is used up, add another topping of buttermilk.
