Ingredients

2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

With electric mixer, cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and extracts. Sift together the flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to mixture. Stir in pecans. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool for 3 minutes on cookie sheet before removing to rack. Makes about 6 dozen.
