Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 green pepper, diced
    1 3/4 c. hot water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 1/3 c. precooked rice
    2 small cans tomato sauce
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Melt drippings in a skillet.
    Add onion, green pepper and rice.
    Cook and stir over high heat until lightly browned.
    Add hot water, tomato sauce and seasonings; mix well.
    Bring quickly to a boil; cover tightly and simmer 10 minutes.
