Almond Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. fine cracker crumbs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    large can peaches, drained and chilled
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Combine cracker crumbs and baking powder.
    Combine egg whites, almond flavoring and salt and beat until stiff.
    Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition.
    Fold crumb mixture and nuts into beaten egg whites.
    Spread in bottom of 9-inch pie plate.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool. Put peaches into crust and top with Cool Whip.
