Baked Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium-size eggs
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. milk
nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Beat eggs slightly with fork.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Add cold milk.
Stir until thoroughly mixed.
Pour into custard cups.
Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired, and place in 2 or 2 1/2-inch deep pan.
Pour boiling water around cups to come almost level with custard.
Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until a silver knife comes out clean when inserted in center. Makes 6 average sized custards.
