Blueberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2. c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. orange juice
1 Tbsp. grated lemon
boiling water
1 c. frozen blueberries
1/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
Blend in shortening. Stir in egg.
Add enough boiling water to orange juice and rind to measure 1 cup.
Stir into flour mixture.
Add blueberries and nuts; stir gently.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 60 minutes.
Makes 1 loaf.
