Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 sweet potatoes
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter
Preparation

Place potatoes in pan and add water.
Steam in oven at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes or until potatoes begin to get tender, then add salt, sugar and creamed butter after mixing well.
Pour this over potatoes and cook in oven for 30 minutes or until syrup is thickened.
The potatoes will have a glazed look.
Don't overcook!
