Scripture Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. Judges 5:25 (last clause, 1/2 c. butter)
2 c. Jeremiah 6:20 (2 c. sugar)
2 Tbsp. 1 Samuel 14:25 (2 Tbsp. honey)
6 Jeremiah 17:11 (6 eggs)
1 1/2 c. 1 Kings 4:22 (1 1/2 c. sifted flour)
2 c. Numbers 17:8 (2 c. almonds, chopped)
2 tsp. Amos 4:5 (2 tsp. baking soda)
2 Chronicles 9:9 spices to taste (see below)
pinch of Leviticus 2:13 (salt)
1/2 c. Judges 4:19 (1/2 c. milk)
2 c. Nahum 3:12 (2 c. chopped figs)
2 c. 1 Samuel 30:12 (2 c. raisins)
Preparation

Beat together until fluffy and light, butter, sugar and honey. Beat egg yolks until light and add to mix.
Add sifted mixture of flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and pinch of salt in alternate portions with milk.
Stir in figs, raisins and almonds.
Fold in 6 egg whites, beaten stiff.
Bake in well-greased 10-inch tube pan 2 hours at 300\u00b0.
Pan may be first lined with greased brown paper for extra protection in the oven.
