Derrick'S Spice German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, scrubbed
    6 to 8 slices bacon
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. water
    1 beaten yolk or whole egg
Preparation
    Boil potatoes in jackets; cool and cut in cubes.
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Remove and crumble over potatoes.
    Add onions to hot bacon drippings and fry until tender.
    Mix vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, celery seed and water; bring to a boil.
    Stir in egg yolk quickly.
    Remove from heat; add potatoes and bacon.
    Put in casserole and keep warm to serve.
