Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. water
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli cuts
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
6 c. milk
4 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
1 tsp. white pepper
Preparation

Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
Add broccoli. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Saute onion in butter in a Dutch oven over low heat about 10 minutes or until tender.
Add flour, stirring until smooth; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add milk and bouillon cubes.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened.
Add broccoli, cooking water and pepper. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Yields 9 cups.
